Blot Stains, Don’t Rub Them
Rub the stains with a cleaning solution and clean cloth, paper towels or a sponge. “The key is the stain, the stain exerts a small amount of pressure on the stain to absorb it,” says Service Solutions NZ. “The rubbing causes the particles to get tangled in the fibers of the carpet, and this can lead to the premature breaking of those fibers.” Always clean from the outside of the stain inward, as the stain outward may extend the stain.

The Club Soda Process
You may have heard that club soda is effective against beer and wine stains. It’s true if you use it correctly.
Dry the area with the soda on a cloth. If that does not work, mix one part of white vinegar with one part of water and pour it into a hand sprayer. Spray the solution on the entire stained area and let it stand for 10 to 15 minutes to soak. Then, press a clean sponge on the area to absorb the solution and stain it. Service Solutions NZ says that you may have to repeat this process to eradicate the stain.
Once the stain has disappeared, rinse the stain with warm water. Use your hand to brush the threads of the carpet in its natural direction. Finally, place white paper towels over the area and glue them with something heavy, like a phone book. The towels will absorb the moisture of the carpet. Leave the towels in place until the carpet is dry, usually around a day.

Try Shaving Cream
Service Solutions NZ says that the best carpet cleaners for stains, in general, is the common shaving cream: “It will remove almost any type of stain”. Apply the shaving cream directly on the stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes, says Service Solutions NZ. Once the shaving cream has settled, remove it with a dry white cloth. Finish by spraying the area with a part of vinegar mixed with a part of water and then wipe the solution with a cloth.

Freeze-Dried Gum
You go chewing gum on the street, but you do not realize until you’ve tracked that thick, sticky mess on your carpet. To remove it, go to the freezer and take a couple of ice cubes. “Freeze the gum with ice cubes for about 30 seconds.” Service Solutions NZ said. Once the gum is frozen, use a spoon to lift the ball and cut the threads of the carpet as close as possible to the rubber. If you cut only a small amount of carpet, the place should not be noticeable.

Dishwasher Detergent vs Grease
The best method for hard-to-clean grease stains is to use a drop or two of dish detergent to cut grease, such as Joy, in a cup of water. It will cut through the grease on the carpet in the same way it does on your plates. “Put the solution in a spray bottle and spray it on the stain,” says Service Solutions NZ. “Then delete it.” Again, you may have to do this several times for larger spots.

Heat Wax
Burning candles in the house can cause the wax to drip on the carpet, where it dries quickly and becomes embedded. Service Solutions NZ recommends heating it again to remove it. Place a white cloth on the iron, then place the iron on the wax to warm it. Finally, scrape the wax with a butter knife.
“When you have finished doing that, place a paper towel over the surface area and iron on the paper,” said Service Solutions NZ. “The wax is melting and sticks to the paper, and the wax will disappear after a few more applications.”
Important note: Do not use the iron in this way for more than 30 seconds or you risk burning the carpet. And be sure to use white cloth and white towels, since colored ones can transfer color to the carpet when it is heated, especially if it has a light-colored carpet.

Hydrogen Peroxide to the Rescue
Few carpet stains are as obvious as blood. But suffering a paper cut on your finger and dropping a few drops on the carpet does not mean that your fluff is ruined.
“Hydrogen peroxide will get blood throughout the day,” says Service Solutions NZ. First, loosen the dried blood with water mixed with a mild detergent. Then scrape as much blood from the fibers as you can. To obtain the rest, apply hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain. The solution will start to foam when it comes in contact with the blood, so do not be surprised. Then rub the hydrogen peroxide with towels to dry the carpet.

Clean Pet Accidents Organically
Even well-trained pets can have an accident on the carpet. Service Solutions NZ prefers organic cleaners, which can cost around $ 10 for a spray bottle, instead of using chemicals. Spray the cleaner to tension. “Some scrubbing will be necessary,” says Service Solutions NZ. Then clean the cleaner with a cloth or towels. Eco-Spot and similar cleaners can also be used to remove other types of stains, such as coffee and sauces.

Candy Crushed
If you have children in the house, it’s only a matter of time before the sweets end up on the carpet. “Try scraping it with a brush or butter knife,” says Service Solutions NZ. Then, using a sponge, apply water mixed with a mild soap. “It’s important to get all the sugar out of the carpet area,” he says. “Failure to do so will result in the area attracting dirt and debris easily.” Once you remove the candy, dry the stain with a cloth or towels.

Deep-Clean Regularly
Cleaning the carpet is essential to keep it fresh and new. Steam cleaning involves the use of a pressure cleaning solution injected deep into the carpet using water jet nozzles. Then, the machine extracts the solution along with the dirt and debris on the carpet. “The water will penetrate the fiber to the back and loosen any encrusted soil, remove grease and oil deposits and clean your carpet as you have never done before,” says Service Solutions NZ. He recommends a deep cleaning every six months for a family of four.
